Polar's slim arms and round legs give the Cot size the look of a well-considered accent chair rather than a sleeper, which is exactly the point. At 37.75 inches wide it's genuinely single-chair scale, at home in a home office, a bedroom corner, or a studio apartment where a full sofa footprint isn't an option.

The Level mechanism opens in one motion, gas-spring assisted. Set the loose back cushions aside, lift the seat, and the bed extends out from the wall under controlled spring assist rather than a dead lift. Plan on 89.75 inches of clearance from the wall for the bed to fully deploy. The 18-inch seat height sits a bit higher than most sleeper sofas, which makes getting in and out of the chair easier day to day.

The bed itself is a 30 by 80 inch cot, sized for one adult at full length. The mattress is a built-in 5-inch cold-cured high-density foam pad, CertiPUR certified, and rated Daily Sleeper, meaning it's engineered for regular nightly use rather than the occasional overnight guest.

Frame construction is solid spruce with mortise-and-tenon joinery and birch plywood, FSC and PEFC certified, made in the EU to order with a typical four-to-six-week lead time. More than a hundred fabric and leather upholstery options are available.

Polar Cot Chair is for rooms where a full sleeper sofa won't fit but a genuine nightly sleep surface still matters. It doesn't scale to two people, if the room can support more width, the Polar Full XL Loveseat steps up to a 55-inch bed, and the Polar Queen Loveseat goes to a full 60-inch queen, both sharing the same slim-arm profile and Level mechanism.
