Simon St. James LeComte is a designer based in Los Angeles. He fabricates custom lighting for restaurants, bars, and hotels under his brand Simon St. James Studio which launched in early 2017. You’ll find his work at various Soho House locations including Los Angeles, New York City, and Austin, as well as at places like Milk Studios, The Hoxton, Firehouse Hotel, Oriel, and Cafe Birdie to name a few. He owns and operates NewMade LA, a collection of vintage inspired home goods. It was born out of his mother’s company Amsterdam Modern, one of the largest importers of midcentury furniture, to bridge the gap between quality design and attainable pricing.
NewMade LA distributes to 100 stores across the U.S., including Nordstrom, Madewell, William Sonoma, and Design Milk. In addition to being featured in publications such as Architectural Digest and Vogue, in 2019 Simon was recognized in Forbes 30 Under 30 for his innovative skills and burgeoning entrepreneurship.
