Monika's sloped, angled arm carries through every size in the collection, and the Full XL is the frame's middle child: 65 inches wide, too large to be a single accent chair, too narrow to be a full three-seat sofa, and exactly right for a room that can't quite fit a Queen.

The Nest mechanism operates the same way it does across the line: loose back cushions set aside, front of the seat lifted, frame walked forward until the back lays flat, two manual steps and no power. Unlike the Queen and King sizes, Full XL does not carry the half-open option, so once the bed is extended the back sits flat rather than partially raised. Clearance needed from the wall is 84.75 inches.

The bed opens to 55 by 80 inches, technically a Full XL, a few inches wider than a standard full but shy of a queen. It comfortably sleeps one adult and can work for two in a pinch, though the Queen is the better call if two people will use it regularly. The mattress is the same built-in 5-inch cold-cured high-density foam, CertiPUR certified, rated Daily Sleeper.

Frame is solid spruce with mortise-and-tenon joinery and birch plywood, FSC and PEFC certified, manufactured in the EU to order with a typical four-to-six-week lead time. More than a hundred fabric and leather options are available at the point of sale.

Full XL is the right call for a guest room or den used by one person at a time, where a Cot feels too tight but a full Queen frame won't fit the space. Step up to the Monika Queen for five more inches of bed width and frame width if two adults regularly share the bed, or compare against the Nautica lineup if a deeper, lounge-style seat matters more than the walk-out Nest mechanism.
